After leaving his longtime band THE MANICS; singer-songwriter Adam Gaither enters the studio with producer Leo Goff, III to begin work on 'Hard to Get Over'---a break-up record in a new, more raw style---using three records as direct inspiration: 'Heartbreaker' by Ryan Adams...'Blood on the Tracks' by Mr. Bob Dylan...and 'Rubber Soul' by The Beatles. Various Memphis musicians participated as they passed through during these on-the-fly recording sessions cut between Smash Addams's new life busking in Nashville and up-and-coming-studio wiz Leo Goff's busy schedule! Nashville siren Lita Williams came down and sang a couple...Successful local group FreeSol's guitarist ripped a solo for us! Though the basic tracks were completed more or less by Jan. 05....only three songs had been mixed down to completion. Two songs ("Never Apart", "We Don't Live Here Anymore") were discarded altogether; left to be re-recorded for future albums. All parties went on with their lives, lol.

--------ALMOST SIX YEARS LATER-----

And then...the wonders of modern technology allow for final overdubs to be posthumously added by Smash Addams in Dec. 2011 at his home studio using Cakewalk. Eric Seaburg did the original artwork.
